Progress Learning 2025: A Year of Growth and Innovation

This past year has been one for the books. We’ve been hard at work building features that make your life easier, your data more actionable, and your students more engaged. From powerful new reporting tools to streamlined workflows, we’ve rolled out updates that touch every corner of the Progress Learning platform.

We wanted to take a moment to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together and share what’s new so you can make the most of everything Progress Learning has to offer.

Enhanced Assessment Comparison Report

The Assessment Comparison Report just got a major upgrade with three new ways to view your data. You can now filter by View by School, View by Class, and View by Teacher, making it easier than ever to analyze growth across different levels of your organization. District administrators can compare campus performance at a glance, while teachers can see how their individual classes are progressing.

Third Assessment Option in Assessment Comparison

We didn’t stop with new views. We also added the ability to compare three assessments at once instead of just two. This means you can now track beginning, middle, and end-of-year performance side by side, giving you a complete picture of student growth across an entire school year or unit. It’s perfect for demonstrating progress and identifying trends over time.

Liftoff Individual Growth Report

For schools using Liftoff, our adaptive intervention program, we’ve built the Liftoff Individual Growth Report. This report gives you a clear view of each student’s journey through their personalized learning path. You’ll see their starting level, current level, and overall growth in both math and reading, broken down by domain. It’s the individualized insight you need to celebrate wins and provide targeted support.

ACT®/SAT® Group and Individual Comparison Reports

College and Career Readiness just got more powerful. We’ve introduced both Group and Individual Comparison Reports for ACT® and SAT® prep, allowing you to track student readiness over time and compare performance across multiple mock assessments. The Individual Comparison Reports are perfect for student conferences and intervention planning, while the Group Reports give you the big-picture view you need for program evaluation.

Performance Report

The Performance Report allows you to view student performance trends and key metrics by subject, domain, and standard. You can filter by custom date ranges, select specific domains, or choose up to 10 standards at once to see how students are mastering content over time. The exportable tables make it easy to bring data to your PLC meetings or share insights with colleagues.

Item Analysis Upgrades

We made it easier to take data-driven instruction to the next level. You can now see the average time spent on each question displayed in the histogram, along with individual student times in the detailed question breakdown. Quickly spot patterns to see where students are rushing, struggling, and need more practice. Plus, Item Analysis data is now exportable, making it easy to dig into item-level results, distractor choices, and misconceptions.

More Export Options for Progress Report

We’ve added additional export options to the Progress Report, giving you even more flexibility in how you analyze and share student activity data across the platform.

True/False Item Type

We’ve expanded the question types available in our Question Builder by adding True/False items. This gives you more variety when creating custom assessments and helps you mirror the formats students will see on state tests.

Integration with Schoology

We’re thrilled to announce our newest integration: Schoology. If your district uses Schoology as a learning management system, you can now assign Progress Learning activities directly through Schoology and have grades sync automatically. It’s one less platform to manage and one more way to keep everything connected. This joins our existing integrations with Clever, ClassLink, Google Classroom, Canvas, and NWEA MAP.

Grade-Level Classes for Admins and District Users

District and school administrators, this one’s for you. We’ve added pre-built grade-level classes that you can use to filter reports and view results for all students in a specific grade across your district or campus. No more manually creating these groupings. Just filter by grade level and get the data you need to spot trends and track performance.

Horizon Integration

Our Horizon integration is now complete, bringing premium SAT® and ACT® prep tools fully into the Progress Learning platform. Horizon’s adaptive benchmark assessments and composite scoring model are now seamlessly integrated into our College and Career Readiness offering, giving your students institution-grade college entrance exam preparation with robust district-level reporting.

Assessment Builder: Build by Standard

Building assessments just got faster and easier. The new Build by Standard feature in Assessment Builder lets you auto-generate assessments based on the standards you select and the number of questions you want. Just expand each domain, choose how many questions from each standard, and watch the system create a blueprint for you. It saves time while ensuring perfect alignment to what you’re teaching.

Updated Liftoff for 6th-8th Grade

We’ve redesigned the Liftoff experience for middle school students, creating a more mature, age-appropriate interface that respects where 6th-8th graders are developmentally while keeping them engaged in their learning. The updates maintain the same powerful intervention tools while matching the aesthetic and experience to what middle schoolers need.

Quick Assign by Code for All Assessments

Speed matters when you’re trying to get assignments out the door. That’s why we’ve added Quick Assign by Code for all assessments. Teachers and school administrators can now use any shared or self-created assessment code to quickly create an assignment for a class right from the homepage. It’s a small feature that we hope makes a big difference in your daily workflow.

Updates to Elementary Experience and Liftoff to Maximize Screen Space

We’ve made thoughtful updates to the Elementary experience and Liftoff interface to maximize screen space and minimize distractions. Every pixel matters when you’re working with younger students, and these updates create a cleaner, more focused workspace that helps learners stay on task.

Content Search

Finding the right question just got easier. Our new Content Search tool allows you to search for specific questions by subject, domain, standard, question type, and even keywords or phrases. Whether you’re building a custom assessment or looking for a particular example to use in class, Content Search helps you find exactly what you need from our massive item bank of over 200,000 items.

Every feature on this list was shaped by feedback from educators like you who use Progress Learning every day to support students and raise achievement.
