LaShavea Groves
I’m a proud Houston native with a strong passion for education. I spent over a decade as a K–8 educator before transitioning into my current role as a trainer, where I’ve spent the past four years coaching and supporting teachers. I truly enjoy collaborating with educators and helping them discover innovative teaching strategies and technology tools to enhance student learning. Supporting teachers in transforming their classroom experiences has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, exploring national parks, and traveling internationally to experience new cultures and perspectives.
I’m always excited to connect, share ideas, and continue learning together—here’s to growing and making an impact, one classroom at a time!

I am a retired educator with over 30 years of experience teaching grades 4-8 with an emphasis on English Language Arts. Within my proud years as a public school teacher, I transitioned to the role of an instructional and literacy coach. Coaching and adult learning became a way I could support educators in a way to empower their own continued improvement within their teaching roles. I’ve worked in the states of Florida and Tennessee and most recently with teachers across the country and even internationally as they work to improve their practice. I now split my time between the Panhandle of Florida and the mountains of New Mexico with my husband and cat. I enjoy the role of “Nonna” to my 3 grandsons and watching my children grow into their roles as parents.
