Accessibility & VPATs
We believe that educational tools should work for everyone. That’s why we design our products to meet accessibility standards from the start—and now we’ve made it easier to see exactly how.
We’ve completed Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) for all of our core products. These documents help school districts, technology coordinators, and procurement teams understand how our tools support accessibility requirements outlined in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.
What is a VPAT?
A VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) is a standardized document that outlines how a product or service supports accessibility. It’s used by organizations to evaluate technology for compliance with accessibility laws and policies.
Each VPAT provides detailed information on how a product aligns with:
- WCAG 2.2 Levels A and AA
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (U.S.)
Third parties create a VPAT for an organization based on an audit, which is then used to create documents called Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR).
Why It Matters
We know accessibility isn’t a checkbox—it’s part of building tools that work for real classrooms, with real students. Our ACRs give you transparency and clarity as you evaluate edtech tools for your district.
